What is available for folks wanting to build a 747 rather than a 737?

The 737 folks have for software ProSim, SimAvionics, Magenta, iFly builders edition and many more.

It seems to be a different story for software for the 747. Is Magenta the only option for the 747 software? PS1 is very old and the updated version is some years behind the original schedule. The current PMDG 747 is a fairly closed system isn't it? Has there been any hint about whether the 747 under development would be more open?

For hardware, the 737 folks are spoilt for choice, but I have noticed very little for the 747 when browsing around.

Please tell me I'm wrong, and point me in the right direction!

Why am I thinking about a 747? I've been inspired by the splendid series of PMDG747 videos on YouTube produced by FSXReality - who doesn't say he is/was a 747 pilot, but there are plenty of hints in his familiarity with systems and procedures - it's worth taking a look.
