Hi
i would be very grateful for any help on this subject
i am making my own mip which will consist of 3 panels,PFD L/H,EICAS AND PFD R/H
my question is as follows -i will be using a 19 inch monitor behind the PFD L/H AND R/H
but in the midle eicas panel i will be using 3 real standby guages (737)you know down the l/h side
of this panel which means i cant use a 17 inch monitor but one much smaller as just above it will be the flap
guage -has any one encountered this as i have looked on ebay and other sites for a small monitor to fit
but they all seem to be either too small or too large -basically has any one built a mip using real standby guages -if so could you please tell me what type of monitor was used for the midle of the MIP
many thanks
dave

Like a square 15" monitor?

Hi efe
15 inches would be too wide I have 9.5 inches from the
Back of the real gauges on the left to the back of the flap lever on the right
The 9.5 inches would have to be the total width of the monitor
I wouldn't have to worry about the length as it would be hidden at the bottom of the centre of my mip frame
Thanks for your reply
And have a good day
Dave

Dave

A 12 inch 4/3 ratio screen would fit. I got one off ebay with a screen size of 7.5" x 9.5" and an overall frame size of 13" x 9" No known make and ex POS equipmnet, but should give you a guide.

simparts.de might have something. Also look into digital picture frames. Some of them has video in...

Well that's tight. 15 inch square monitors have a 10.6 inch edge measurement so I thought that might work. Apparently not for your case. So a smaller monitor is in order.
