Check out this site http://www.force-dynamics.com/ and go look at the demo video (about 18 megs) http://www.force-dynamics.com/video/force-dynamics_301-lfs-incar2.wmv

Amazing.... do you think we can convert to Flight-sim????

Yeah Matt, sure is a work of art. I am sure it could be used as a flightsim, although it comes with a hefty price tag

Also takes the fun out of building your own  besides my cockpit won't fit in it. :o

BTW.... anyone the price of that contraption...... Don't see it listed anywhere.

It seems that the parameter info they are able to read out of the racing sim is extremely fast. They say you can feel the coarseness of the pavement : You'd need to transfer motion frequencies up to around 20 - 30Hz or so. With the speed that is available from MSFS utilities, the best you can get is around 10Hz. Does anybody know if these racing sims are specially developed to drive motion platforms?

Regarding the platform: The key is in the ball-screw actuators and the limited weight. (max 250 lbs)
