Hey Guys,

As requested a long Holiday resulted in lots of simulator work completed.

Check the Gallery for updated pictures.

Oh By the way, I had to put it in Misc. Cause nobody put in a Corporate or Executive class of Simulators :)

All the best.... Enjoy, and Happy New Year!

Hey Trevor... Nice job man! Looks great. What is the roof made of? You told me yesterday that you had a little time to work on it, what is next? Keep those pictures coming! I like to see pictures of the construction progress so I can see how others are doing it.

Thanks Matt for helping with the link.

Bob, The roof is made of Fiberglass. and 1/4" Birch Plywood. Basically the rounded curves in the roof are fiberglass cloth.

The side wings are now to be fitted for Plexi/Lexan so that they can be back lit. The Overhead panel and circuit breakers will be fitted and backlit. and the Main instrument panel will start to come alive.

I still have to fit the Trim, PTT, Go around, and Autopilot Disconnect switches into the control columns.

First thing is to finish the Walls and Windscreen. Then I can muck with the panels.

As you can tell from the pics I still have a lot of painting to do.

The entire sim is mounted on a 8" X 8' Platform on casters so I can roll it around. This makes working on all the sides of it easiest.

I will keep you all posted, on the progress.

Best regards,

Trev

LOL.

I will tell you, you are 100% correct. I didn't realize how large the windows were.

It seems like miles from the front of the brow down to the bottom of the front winscreen.

I am really having fun installing the glareshield now.. :)

LOL,

It is all I can afford.... Just kidding.

I decided on the 900EX because it was easy to gain access to the real one for measurements.

I wish I could shoot some production drawings your way but I'm afraid taht would get me fired and sued if it ever gets out....

I know, I would never ask anyone to risk that.

No worries mate,

I think I am pretty well off. I have access to the complete manuals on PDF and access to the maintenance manuals. Unfortunatly the maintenance manuals don't have dimensions on them. But the measuring tape worked well enough.

Best regards,

Trev

Matt that Cessna Thingi why not sell it? OR you want to keep it or you could even activate it it doesn´t occupy that much space!
