Hello,

Im aidan preston from scotland :D Just thought I'd drop a post saying hey :)

Anyway a little bit about me :D I am 13 approaching 14 :) and in the air cadets :D.. my passion for flying came around when I was like 11.. and when I hit 13 I got to fly a cessna at a local airport.. A few weeks back I got to fly for the first time in a grob tutor with air cadets and do some aerobatics.. loop the loop, barrell role etc.. So since I've been about 12 before I was old enough to go in the cessna :D I just flew flight sim x :D and have been doing for a while. I went off it for a bit.. but im back on it :D I am currently in the processes of building a home cockpit with a fantastic budget :D Which will get me exactly what I want..

Here is a picture of something I saw on youtube and what I aim my results to be by the end of this year :)

Hi,
Dont forget to ask lots of questions before you begin as it will save you time and money.
I knew absolutely ZERO about cockpit building when I joined up a year ago, now I have my (almost) dream cockpit in my garage. It is all down to the members of this site who answered my daft questions and gave me encouragement.

Sure will do :)) I have done a lot of planning etc, but it's know there's people to help if I get stuck. Just a question though is there a gallery/showcase on here where people display there cockpits?

Hi,
If you look in the forum you will see a section called My Cockpit Update, have alook around.
My cockpit is at http://www.mycockpit.org/forums/showthread.php/24419-Before-and-After-Pictures-or-how-to-get-a-737-into-a-business-jet
It looks better now as I have the tvs set up.

Oh my that is lovely what you have there :?) What inspired you to build it? U pilot in real life? Or just got a passion for it??

Hi,
I do have a pilots license but it has long since lapsed. I have been interested in flight sim since the spectrum (ask your dad :p).
I now have the space, time and money to build something that has always interested me so thought I would do it properly.
The only downside is that it takes over your life and you find yourself building things in your sleep. It can also be incredibly frustrating when things dont go right, but it is worth it in the end. EVERYONE who has flown in my sim has gone WOW!!!!!!!
