I am having problems synching my 4 throttles for my 747 flight sim and elevator control doesn't have much up movement.

I am having problems synching my 4 throttles for my 747 flight sim. I am using phidgets I/O 8 8 8 card, with fs2phidgets 4.3.66 and latest version of FSUIPC.No matter what I do, I can’t seem to sync the throttles. Also I cannot get much movement on the elevator up. Any suggestions or guide on configuring the above.

-i am using fs2004
-My 747 throttles are connected to phidgets rotation sensor (300 degrees) which is connected to phidgets card I/O 8 8 8.Then this phidgets card is plugged into my main flight sim PC which has FS2004,FSUIPC4 and fs2phidgets 4.3.66 installed on it. I have used a variable file called fsuipc320.ini to assign the engine levers in phidgets.I have tried to calibrate the sensors nut i don't see a way of doing this on the new fs2phidgets.So once i connect the aboe and start flight sim. i can the engine power moving up and on fs2004 when i use the throttles but they are not in syn.At prsent the 4 throttle levers are all at different settings physically to output same or similar engine thrust/power. Can anyone please shed some ligt on this on what i need to do to get the 4 throttles in sync.

Another problem i have is that the elevator control doesn't seem to have much movement up.It moves more down then up therefore it's hardfor my 747 to take off.

I think fsuipc has a feature to sync throttles. Check Pete's forum and/or documentation.

How close is center position on elevator sensor to center of mechanical movement?

What message does FS2Phidget give to indicate the connection error?
Message would be on screen in red box and in the FS2Phidget log.

I am not able to replicate this message other than if I start fs2004 after f2phidget has started. Same with fs2002 and fsx, and with Win XP and Win7.

How does fs2phidgets know where to find fsuipc.Is there some sort of config file.What and where is it looking for in order to look for the fsuipc program

You are asking wrong question? FSUIPC is part of FS2004. Question you are asking is - How does FS2Phidget know that FS2004 is running? When is FS2Phidget able to start communicating with FS2004? How does FS2Phidget communicate with FS2004? The creator of FSUIPC (IPC = Inter Process Communication) provides code to do all the neccessary. Are you starting FS2004 manually, or do you have script to start? Do you wait until FS2004 has fully started? i.e. wait until introductory screen is cleared, and scenary has been generated, etc, (this can take a few minutes). Was this working before at some point? Must have been working for you to have calibrated ailerons, etc.

yes i am starting fs2004 manually and starting fs2phidgets only after fs2004 is fully up ie after i have loaded a flight and the aircraft is on the runway ready for takeoff.

Yes it worked once the day i installed it and then the next day whenj i went back to configure more controls etc, it will not connect to fs2004. I don't remeber changing any configs the day before only configured some controls and exited.

I will give you a bit of the background on my problem.

I have had my 747 sim running for atleast two years with no issues until late last year when my phidgets interface card 8/8/8 died.I sourced a new card from Australia which seemed to be the latest version.I was running fs2phidgets 3.2.2 and whever i plugged in this new card, it will detect the card and within seconds the fs2phidgets 3.2.2 app will just crash.it's then when i decided to try later vesions of fs2phidgets and see if that worked and tyried ver5.0... which seemed to be detecing the card fine and not crashing.I decided not to use ver 5.0.. because the look and feel was quite different from ver 3.22 therefore decided to go with ver 4.3.6.Fs2phidgets 4.3.6 worked fine for a day and the next day it will not connect to fs2004 no matter what i tried and it still isn't connecting.

Hope this gives a better understanding of how i ended up in this situation.

Hi guys, good news.It looks like I may have resolved the problem.today upgraded my fs2004 to fs9.1 and everything seems to be working fine. Will check tomorrow and see if it's still working,hopefully yes.
