Hi,
I have one MCP and 2 EFIS bought fully assembled from Opencockpits should be simple plug and play. I also have one radio COMM that works just fine when launched.
I cannot figure out how to run the MCP and the EFIS with PMDG 737NG. Tried to set it up following the instructions but no success. I cannot understand why there is not an easy way to set it up and launch it like for the radio COMM.
I presume many people have accomplished this. If there is someone patient enought to share the way to configure it I would apreciate. :)
Best regards,
JAC

Hi Jac
you can use Prosim737 beta (freeware) which came with scripts for all Opencockpits hardware (EFIS,MCP,FMC Overhead Panel...It's very easy to use...for FS9 , FSX with the new PMDG 737 NGX...

Hi,,
There is no easy way to just connect your OC MCP and EFIS's to the computer and have it working with 737NGX. You have to modify some configuration files. If you are not willing to do that your , forget it.
IF you have the registered version of FSUIPC you can have the OC MCP up and running. I plan to do the EFIS soon, but need to do some more soldering before starting with the script:

If you have any questions/problems continue in this topic.

Hi
thanks for the hint. I have downloaded the Prosim soft, inserted the licence key lanched SIOC twicked the INI file, setup server adress, but cannot make it work the MCP numbers flash for a couple of seconds go black and nothing goes on. If I would give you access to my machine via team viewer would you consider to set it up for me? That would be awsome. I feel very frustrated with SIOC stuff.
Best regards,
Jose

No panic Captain :-)))
I suppose that you do as need:
FSX or Fs9 run
Prosim system run
SIOC run
MCP Prosim run: make a right click ; select Config you are on "Main window" go to "For Opencockpits MCP's and Throttle" feel SIoc server me: 127.0.0.1 (localhost FSX and Prosim on the same machine) port 8092
Check MCP/EFIS, press OK
again right click Status: all must in GREEN: Server, FSUIPC, Hardware
If need reload SIOC
Check TER on EFIS Prosim to display terrain on ND
Verify Devices number..."
MASTER=0,5,2,16 (MCP) 16 and 13 are mine, check Device window" on SIOC
MASTER=1,7,2,13 (EFIS)
enjoy!

The Captain is holding tighth to seat to avoid jumping out of the cockpit :???:
Could you please email me your Sioc.ini (which I believe is the same thing as sioc.ssi(?)
and the mcp + efis script it should call. The mcp + scrit should be in the SIOC directory correct?
All is green but the MCP does not come to live, it simply flashes and become as dead as a stick.
Is it up to us to difine Master data,
I have defined as follows:
MASTER=0,5,2,14 (MCP) IDX defined by me the 14 comes from SIOC window
MASTER=1,7,2,14 (EFIS) same as above
SIOC being used 4.01
Best regards,

Hi Jose,
i think your problem is the same device number for both MCP and EFIS, it'snt possible...you must resolve this.
I get 16 and 13 with SIOC ver 4.01 under Win7 64 bits and
under Xp MCP:28 and EFIS: 21 with SIOC ver 3.781
With Xp MCP and EFIS are both connected on same HUB
on Win7: MCP and CDU747 (i use it too) on same HUB and EFIS on USB port
Try to use only the MCP or EFIS and see the result...it must work...
I have tried to send my SIOC and script via your PM (mycockpit.org)but refused , text too long give me other email
mcp + script should be in the SIOC directory :yes correct
