Well I've been in love with an flying 747's online for some time.
I flew in the 2010 world flight Australia team last year in a wonderful full motion 747 sim.
I've noticed that there is much more gear available for 737 for the cockpit builder so I've decided to start there.
Trawled the internet (as I'm sure you all have) for details and yesterday started on the "timber work" for a 737 build.
I'm happy to trade info as I work my way through this maze. I've mucked about with pulling keyboards appart etc etc.
Investigated all sorts of options for panels / displays / projectors / input/outputs and so on and now have a "rough" plan.
What has drawn me to this formum is jimspage.co.nz
What a guy! I work in IT although I'm a panel beater by trade!!
The last software I wrote was in VB5 and Jim has written the FSXinout sturr in VB6 that I have wanted to develop - well done - I've ordered the card already!
Anyhow I guess that's enough intro. I'll start reading.
Cheers
Tony
