I got this today from GoFlight after ordering an ICCS panel last week -

Ok, this is completely unprecedented. You have my strictest apologies. I just found out this evening that the owner of the business just quit. I am only telling you this so there is a clear line of communication. I do not know what this will mean. The best I can do is give a call to the office on Monday and find out what happened, who is in charge and what is up with your order.

I am deeply embarrassed by this situation, and I hope that we can rectify this quickly. Are you willing to wait until Monday?

Would appreciate anyone in the US that knows what's happening letting me know as they have £500 of mine.

Rgds and thanks
Richard

What is it with GoFlight at the moment, they are always changing owners, re-vamping the brand and then quitting!

Richard, I am dead cert that you will get your money or your product.

Did you pay with PayPal or credit card?, because there are ways of getting the money back with both of these payment options.

Can you confirm that the message you posted in the OP was from GoFlight.

To me, it seems a bit strange (possibly a spam/hacked email). Very few companies start emails with "OK, this is...", etc.

The emailer also refers to the business in the third person, ie "the owner of the business", not "we have gone out of business, etc". It's also strange that the author says he's personally "embarassed by the situation". Finally, not many employees ask customers "Can you wait until...", it's usually "I can contact you on Monday, or it can be sorted out on Monday".

Furthermore, I have been emailing GoFlight frequently over the past few weeks and they have responded quickly and professionally, also their website is still up.

So sorry to speculate/conspire, it just seems a little odd!

Cheers,

Jack

but on the other hand, i had some exchanges with goflight a few years ago and i
found their wording to be shall we say 'laid back'.
alex is right richard and i told you, if you paid by paypal or credit card, no sweat.
