Hello;

Looking for some advice please.

I'm looking at purchasing some 737 instrument modules. In particular: ADF, NAV1/2 and COMMS.

Which company produces the best modules - FDS, SIMSCO or CP Flight?

My MIP is FDS so I'll have the FDS back lighting.

I am already using the CP Flight MCP & EFIS (pro version) and am familiar with this line.

My avionics bay is a real bay from a 737-300 with DZUS rails.

Is there a problem mixing manufacturers? Are they all plug and play?

Thank you, WilloW

I only have experience with CP flight. Their modules are very good and if you already have the MCP & EFIS I should stick to that because the other modules connect through a daisy chain. Simple.

If you already have the MCP and EFIS, go with CPFLIGHT.

There is no problem to mix them, I have MCP and EFIS (pro line) from CPFLIGHT and NAVs, COMs, ADF and Transponder from opencockpits working without issues. Obiously, the backlight and "taste" of each instrument may differ between manufacturers.

Thanks - good suggestion to keep them the all the same to ensure the same back lighting. I had forgotten about this. Cheers, WilloW
