Hi,

After purchasing 3 HP laptops of 249 euros each for my clients, I realized that boxed hardware is the way to go in my project, since everything is already checked and ready to go without any conflicts.

There is a bargain these days in the Greek Media Markt shops...

I find the price of 589 euros a good price for a named desktop as this http://www.packardbell.gr/pb/el/GR/content/model/PT.U5CE2.447

Do you think that the above setup can run FSX and be happy with it ?

Hi Nick

It's my opinion that 'named' PC manufacturers make very average PC's. They never score highly in performance tests. Your HP laptops will be okay for what you are asking them to do, but I wouldn't be looking for a 'bargain' for my FSX machine. Pay a little more and build a PC with the components you want in it.

Hi Nick,

Sean is right, the big guys don't make pc's that will run FS well. PC scores for 'normal' games don't apply to FS.
I would steer clear of a boxed build for your main FS pc...
