CRJ-900 Details

Just putting it out there..If anyone needs any detail shots or measurements from a CRJ (specifically 900) cockpit let me know. I have pretty much unrestricted access to that aircraft type.

I am at the idea stage of wanting to build a cockpit and I think I have decided on a CRJ model. If you have information such as drawing or sketches I would very much like to utilize them. I can get you AMM references, and detailed pictures of components. They don't give us access to the Tech drawings.

Thanks for getting back to me. That's really great news. I don't know how much information you can get but what I really need to get started is the basic cockpit dimensions. I know that's pretty vague but can you send me what you have so I can see what my starting point is? I plan on drawing everything on Alibre Design first so that I know how everything will fit. Thanks again!

PS-I have two 42" monitors to start things off. I'm hoping they are close to the actual windshield size

You would be better off with a projector setup for the outside as the windscreens are two peices of glass that wrap around.

Here is a good site for references. http://www.smartcockpit.com/pdf/plane/bombardier/CRJ-100-200-SERIES/systems/0001/. However this is for a 200 which is a totally different animal than the 7/9 systems wise, dimensionally it will be close enough.

I'm in the Sketch stage for a CRJ 200 and with the link to www.smartcockpit.com,
I have started putting the jigsaw together. Its a long way to go but as they say, it starts with a single step!
