Dear All,

pls some information on the Aerosoft MCP B747 non more available from the Australian Company:
I wish to buy it from a second hand, very nice device, I like it so much... but I need to know something more about the operating system and software compatibility.
I think no more drivers available.
I found only one sw from the FlightSimLabs web site that is working with FSX only (as mentioned on the web site).
I wish to know if somebody used it before and/or he is still using it. Maybe he is able to help me. So the questions are:
Is the MCP working with the Windows 7 (64) and FS2004?
Is it working thru the FSUIPC module in order to be able to program it via fsuipc?
If so I will be able to configurate to use it with many different aircrafts.
Reading an old tutorial wrote by Aerosoft, it seems to be an open device linked to the fsuipc module and open for all. So I suppose that it is able to fly with all aircrafts free and pay thru the fsuipc.
But the important thing is also the driver compatibility with the FS9 and Windows 7. Where is possible to find more info and details on it?
Thank you in advance.
Maybe Mr. Nico Kaan big expert on B767 used it before and maybe he is able to give some information. Please help me!!!
Thank you and good flight
Andrew

Hello Andrew,

I have one of the first Aerosoft MCP747+EFIS+EICAS sold by Aerosoft Australia, bought directly from them several years ago which I have used until replacing it with a FDS MCP.

I'm not using that unit since a few years, but I remenber it was a very good piece of hardware and I used to use it with FS2004 (PMDG737 or PMDS747) or AerowinksPS1 B747 on WinXP. I still have all the software drivers required.
I never tested it with Win7, so have no idea if compatible with it.
Furthermore I just can't remenber if it was possible to program it through FSUIPC.
If you are interested, may be I could decide to sell it. Not sure yet... but in any case, even if it's a second hand hardware, such MCP/EFIS/EICAS set, is a collector and rare piece of hardware... accordingly, expect a somewhat high price!
Regards
Joaquim
