Is it possible to connect two LEO BODNAR BU0836X to the same computer? Will the computer see it as two diffent joystick device or will there be a conflict?

Yes that is no problem. Although I have one pc on which it was not possible (but the problem was probably on the pc side)

Yes ,But I believe there is a problem with the Fsuipc sometimes getting the 2 (or more) cards confused.

Not sure if there is a work around for this problem although ,when you realize the cards are switched ,it is an easy fix.

I read here somewhere a while ago that you could order cards with custom names to solve this problem and I have asked on the Bodnar site via email and haven't got a reply .

Alter the cardnames in the registry so you dont mix them up

How would you alter the cardnames in the registry? Is there a tutorial to do that somewhere?
Thanks.

You can change more or less everything via REGEDIT.

Type regedit in Start/Run and go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DESCRIPTION\System\MultifunctionAdapter\12\OtherController
(every system is different from each other, so you might not have a "12" folder. Look around. This was on a XP system)
Find the BU0836X entry
Change the Identifier value and call your cards something usefull.

I tried this at home on my WIN7 system. This board is called 737 TQ Revolution Simproducts.
Found it here:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\MediaProperties\PrivateProperties\Joystick\OEM\VID_1DD2&PID_2008

A bit different from my XP.
You can use the "Find" command in regedit to search for your card entry.

As long as you don't change anything in there you can look around in the registry without any risk of screwing things up.
Basicly your mission is to find your card and rename it. Different OS's have different structure, but you should be able to find it quite easy. May the force be with you. Crosscheck and report.

I have four bu0386x cards on my system but can only find one reference in the Win 7 registry. I want to give them names like OVHD 1 etc. Adding extra cards causes problems with ProSim at present and I would like to avoid having to re-assign all the switches when I add a board for the MIP etc. Any help would be very much appreciated.
