View Full Version : boeing 747 throttle reverse idle?

Sorry for my bad English but i don't understand what this "idle" is here you see the picture of reverse---idle in a 737 throttle (I am building a 747) but there are only one micro switch on the picture but two micro switch on the instructions picture? can anyone help me with this?

Yep. That's the idle position.

The reverse microswitch is in the throttle lever. (in the top, near the reverse lever).

With this schematics with 2 microswitches, reverse can only be activated with the trustlevers in idle position.

I like that design for throttles. I googled "gears" the other day and came up with a bunch of sites that sold toy gears for children to play with. Anyone know where I can get some quality gears online?

Not sure where you could get some on that side of the big lake but you can try using "gear wheel" or "sprocket" as the search term.
