Hi!

I don't like the default sounds and I've seen a lot of videos on youtube where ppl have some kind of soundaddon to there simulator which include gear, flap, spoiler on touchdown, trim wheels spinning etc. sounds..

Can anyone tell me where to get those sounds or which addon it might be?
Im building an b737ng sim.

example of gearsound and nice turbinesounds:

Have you tried d/l various freeware packages from flightsim.com and avsim.com? The biggest packages usually have custom sound sets for their aircraft in the sounds folder.

This is what most people here use. You can choose from airbus to boeing specific callouts and sounds. Works very well and it's freeware. Make sure you have the latest version of FSUIPC.

Hi Anders
I have also replied to that video asking for the soundset, but I can give you some help on your way.
There is a soundpackage in here made by AchillesP. You can find it via links in this post: http://www.mycockpit.org/forums/showthread.php/11836-Complete-sound-package-for-cockpit-builders
This will make your default sounds much better. As long as you run a default model, you place these files on your FS PC. In addition to this, I run the PMSounds on another PC in the network. The speakers from this PC have I placed in the CDU-bay and i have checked PMSounds to play avionics and some bells&whistles.
This way I have engines and aircraft sounds coming from speakers in cockpit, avionics ++ in MIP and ATC in headset.

You can edit the config in PMSounds to make it play the sounds you want to FSUIPC offset of choice.

Hi guys and thank you all very much for your replies.

I've just tested TSS 737 soundpack and i LOVE IT!! What a great addon! I will try PMsounds tomorrow and maybe I can get the best out of them togather? enginesounds is awesome on TSS soundpack.

NAX, will you use TSS as your base and then PMsounds for callouts etc?

best regards,
Anders

I will have to try it out first and then see how I will blend, but my general idea is to have callouts and avionics sounds from MIP/CDUbay.

Please let me know how it works. Im looking for similar setup.

What is the best setup to get the most realistic soundexperience and where to place speakers?

Glad i could help out.Im fairly new to this whole cockpit building thing(not fs though)so
it feels good to be to some assistence:)
Ive tried to incorperate the enginesoundpack you are using some time
ago but without succsess. But have developed some kind of basic skills on the
computer so maybe ill give it a shot some day.

The PM sound also looks intresting! For what ive seen on youtube i find
the PM callouts the most realistic ones...like the real thing?

Or am i wrong?
