Mornin all......I didn't know what section to post this in so, mods can move if its in the wrong area?

right down to business :)

I've had the saitek yoke and throttle quads for 4 or so months and in the last month or there abouts the yoke has developed the MOST ANNOUYING squek/creeking sound when turned in either direction wether in the neutral or full forward/backward positions. I've taken it apart and lubed:shock: the sections that may be causing the noise but it's still making the racket! I have the dual throttle quads radio panel, switch panel and autopilot panel which I can put up with......

but what I would like to know is this :-

-are the panels n throttle compatible with other yokes out there or am I going to need to buy all 'stand alone' type products to get the same set up???? as the pro flight yoke is heading for an untimely meeting with a sledge hammer!

tar muchly all

As each unit you have has a USB connection they should all be compatible with your flight sim. You won't be able to use the Saitek setup software to assign the others to your computer but that's not a problem I'm sure.

As to hammering the pro flight yoke into submission. I wouldn't do that.. I would as a last resort salvage the parts out of it for a new yoke. If a solution can't be found for the squeaking.

What happens when you lubricate the yoke? Does the squeak go away for a time or does it continue? It could be the type of lubricant you're using for the yoke? Many have had success with a PTFE lubricant (Teflon Infused) so long as it's not petroleum based (Jiffy Lube or WD40). PTFE lubricant can be found at any good automotive parts supplier.

GUNK - Liquid Wrench (Super Lubricant) (http://www.gunk.com/prod_photo.asp)

Hope that helps.

Wouldn't hammer it into submission, oblivion is more likely......!
The squek has never really disappeared tbh but went down to a tolerable level, used vaseline to put inbetween the plastic circular guides ( ? ). Has anyone else had the same issue?? Sounds like an old creeking door again. piece of horse poo!
