You've finally decided to take the leap and start building a flight sim cockpit in your house. Before you get started, take a moment and read an article from Barkay.

He graduated from mechanical engineering with a masters degree on production, worked for Pan Am and DELTA for five years as an operations agent, is a 737 enthusiast, cockpit builder, and a Technology consultant for banking and telecommunication businesses.

A common mistake in sim building for me, is thinking too big and too complex. I had crazy ideas about how big and technical my sim should be and in the end I settled for a small GA trainer ideal for x-country. Its nearly finished, its small, simple and fun to fly. But had to keep size down, cost down and build EVERYTHING myself. Planning is everything!
