Hello all,

How high off the floor is the yoke of a B737-800NG and what's the diameter of the control column? I am going to setup a Saitek Pro Flight Yoke on a static control column and I need to make sure it's at the proper height.

Thanks!

You could try this site. He's building a 737NG..

http://www.737ng.co.uk/

In this page if you look down the right side of the page you will see his 737NG yoke build article link (to a PDF file) that will take you through the process of building your own 737NG yoke..

Precision Flight Controls 737 Yoke (http://www.flypfc.com/index.php?mn_id=29&dn_id=6)

Remember the 800 series is just a stretched version of the 737NG. So the flight deck is basically the same throughout the different 737NG series.

810mm off the floor to the top of the column

diameter is about 2.5 inches

Check out this file from Markus. All the yoke info is near the back:

Thanks for the link, though I should hate Efrain to build his control column to the wrong size:)

It is the dreaded conversion from metric, I suspect. The control column dia is 80mm which converts to 3.14 inches

LOL So, it should be about 32" (810mm) from the floor to the TOP of the yoke (top of handles?) or top of the column?

That's a tough one... everything I read is to the of the yoke, meaning the column. I had to assume that while the yoke restng position is about 10 degrees forward, that the measurements were with it perpendicular though. In reality, the difference is miniscule.

Just dropped my yokes into the floor.... now I'm working the tensioning. Off to Lowe's for a spring...

Oh ok... I have to be very careful with the placement because I will be using the entire Saitek Pro Flight Yoke assembly for now and don't want it covering the PFD.
