Yes, I usually think of the non-obvious stuff about flight simulation and sometimes they might seem silly, but there is a point behind it...

Therefore, I ask this time what is your favorite musical artist/band/group that you listen too when working/building on your simulator? You know, the one special album/CD/or even an Audio Book that you just turn up loud and gets you motivated to work on your simulator project.

It can be anything music, but try to limit it to the top one that you enjoy the most. Please place the genre/type in addition to the individual/group name. Thus, in my case, I would say:

[Band]: Disturbed [Genre]: Nu-Metal/Metal [Favorite Album]: All Albums from them; mostly "The Sickness" Album [Favorite Song] "Numb"

Why am I asking this? Well, maybe the music you like might help someone else get motivated to start or finish their simulator project, or it could be the motivation that gets their mind going and they make something important for all of us to buy after they design and build it. Music works in strange ways and it brings people together...

Thanks for listing...uh, listening.

I listen to music from the 70's as that is where my cockpit is based. It brings back memories of what life was like for me then. Not trying to recapture the past but it does help set the mood...

I like listening to soulful and funky house music. Jocelyn Brown is my fave diva for the soul music!

I agree totally about Voices by Disturbed, in fact, all their albums rock! I've been listening to all of them over and over while working on the sim; especially, "ASYLUM", the newest.

As for SRV, I used to rock out with his tunes when I DJ'd in college. I still have the CD's and his tunes are on my Itunes (Mac G4). Album Double Trouble and the song "The Sky is Crying" (not sure if it's on the same album) that is a great blues tune! Ah, the days of hearing that song on a 1000watt Amp and Huge Rollout Speakers (mobile dj system)...OMG!

Ps. funny you mentioned being a musician as well, it seems a lot of sim pilots have or still are musicians. I was a drummer (before the wheelchair) in two bands (Party-Pak and Blind Spot), then later picked up guitars and amps (Ibanez, PRS, with Mesa Boogie Triple Head).

Fly away-Lenny Kravitz
Crazy-Seal
Dreams-Van Halen
Aces High-Iron Maiden
Things that I've done- the Killers
Angel flying too close to the ground-Willie Nelson

But mostly I listen to old Magnum PI episodes. Wonder what a profiler would say about those choices? Lol.

Nice equipment!!The "mesa" amp is awesome, and with the ibanez you got a killer setup.I recently bought a ibanez seven string for my home studio so i guess i have to wait a couple of months until i have the cash for my 737 overhead purchase.

Man...these hobbys costs alot of money haha!
