Hi,

I've started a blog on this side where I try to document the progress of my cockpit building process. Meanwhile there are 9 entries with a number of photos.

To make some advertisement for the blog ;) and to provide some point for discussions, suggestions, and/or questions I've additionally started this thread.

If you are interested, you can find the blog here (http://www.mycockpit.org/forums/blog.php/6468-Bug738).

Cheers,
Michael

Hi Michael, i like your blog its a nice read, thanks for taking the time to post, Dont say "yet another" 737.. everyones cockpit is there own unique build and personal to yourself, with your own stamp on it, no matter what the aircraft. Keep up the blog.

Steve,
thanks for the motivating words. The use of "yet another..." wasn't meant disrespectfully. Meanwhile I know quite well how much work is needed to build a home cockpit, no matter which plane you are simulating. And I've just started.
However, although the 737 NG is probably the widest spread base for home simulators (that was meant to be expressed by "yet another...") I love this plane and would not want to build any other (ok, probably an MD-11, but that's another story ;)). And I have the deepest respect for everyone who is daring to start such an adventure.

Regards,
Michael

I knew exactly what you meant ( by how many 737's ) and i wasn't lecturing, like yourself i get immense pleasure in seeing everyones cockpits from any manufacturer and the md11 is one of my favourites too, although i wouldn't change my 737 for anything.

The panels and the MIP base construction are parts I've bought from Poldragonet, a Polish company which offers different DIY sets for the 737NG.

There is still more progress until today but I was not yet able to take some photos. They will follow later.
I also bought a used ACE 737 Yoke which is really a beautiful piece of machinery. And I will begin to start the overhead next.

Michael
