Hi Guys,

Dumb question..but how are you mounting toggle switches to a panel? Im just ordered a BU0836X card and looking at toggle switches. When you get a toggle switch do you have to buy a mounting holder as well?

Cheers Chris

Hi Chris, toggle switches usually come with two nuts so they can be mounted in a drilled hole in a panel. This picture is of a B777 TQ that I am making at the moment, the backlight panel isn't painted or engraved at the moment but in the pic you can just see a 1.5mm clear acrylic piece that is the back up panel. The toggle switches mount to this backing panel and the backlight panel sits over the top of it. If you are making panels from plastics it is better to grind away the plastic with a Dremel or similar tool rather than using a drill bit which will break the plastic nine times out of ten!
