Hi All,

In my sim which is of MDF construction, I have carpeted all the interior (floor, wall and ceiling). However, in some places the edge of a piece of MDF is exposed e.g. a semi partition. The sides are carpeted but not the edge because I couldn't think of a nice way to do it.

I tried using black duck tape to cover the edge but it doesn't stick to the carpet at either side and doesn't look great anyhow.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a good edge trim I could use?

thanks,
Ryan.

Go to your home improvement store and see if they have some half round in the trim department. Or they may have some other trim you like better that you could paint

I have never even seen a Trim department in any of the home hardware shops I have been to! I am not even sure they would stock such a thing.

Could you explain a bit more what it looks like?

Thanks.

Hi Scott,

I didn't realise you meant wooden moulding strip. I was hoping to find something to wrap around the edge in order to cover over the edge where the carpet meets the MDF sheet edge.

thanks,
Ryan.

Another thought would be corner bead that builders use to reinforce inside and outside corners when they drywall. You may have to shape it and paint it but it would work.

That has a few examples. You might also look for some bullnose wood trim that would wrap around..
