Hey guys,

After a few months of slowed progress, I've accumulated enough funds to continue with by A3XX generic sim.

Right now my main focus is on the overhead panel, so to start off I bought one goflight light switch panel and two pushbutton panels. Between them, I can cover every single switch and pushbutton that works with the Wilco Vol 1 and 2.

I've managed to get the switches configured for the most part, and now I'm moving on to labeling.

Can anybody tell me the font or closest font to that Airbus uses on their overhead panels?

Thanks!

Futura is what everyone seems to think is correct. Also, if you are doing Axxx generic, have you seen all of the A300 stuff on eBay?

Hi.

Airbus uses this font: ASTA320 (so I think)

If you want the font I can send it to you, just pm me your email address.

Cheers

Hello,

AST's font is one possibility. This is the font they (AST) use in their displays (PFD, ND, E/WD, SD) and the MCDU, i.e. on their representation of display units.

Another font mentioned for Airbus is MS33558, which is supposedly used in the panel engravings. It is available on the net; try searching MS33558FONT.ZIP.

Good luck,

Gables Engineering uses Futura Medium Condensed font on the ATC/TCAS control panel it supplies for the A330/340. The Gables VHF Comm control head for the A300 uses Futura Medium.
