Hi.
I have a nagging problem with the FSX default 737 800, when sitting on the runway
the external view is ok. It takes off ok, cruises ok but when coming in to land
the aircraft adopts a 5 deg nose up while following the glide slope making it
impossible to see the runway. H ave tried changing the view angles, running in full
screen or small window but nothing seems to work.
Any idias please.
Thanks in advance Phil.:?:

Assuming this is still happening with landing flap (30 or 40 degrees) then you could try

either increasing the approach speed by a few knots (this will allow you to fly a reduced angle of attack and get the nose down a few degrees)

or raising the eye point in the cockpit/virtual cockpit (shift enter I think...)

thanks for reply CC,
I have changed th eye point to extreme settings but still can't see the ground.
have flown again today and it looks to be 7 or 8 deg nose up. The view is definitly correct
when parked.
Regards Phil.

Just for some added info here, I have flown phils set up and have seen the problem hes having.
I did the same fuel, payload, flaps and approach speed on my set up with no problems, runway was visible from 7dme.

One thing i would have liked to have tried sunday but we ran out of time phil was to do the approach manually to see what happens,
from what i can remember when i did this a few weeks back with you was , the aircraft seems to descend ok on glidescope but before you know it youve overflown the airport..
Its as if the position ao airport is wrong or something, very strange.

Hope you can get some ideas of some guys here.

regards

steve

Try Ctrl-Q and Ctrl-Shift-Q to move your "seat" up and down,

Just a thought???

It these a difference between when you fly the approach and when the autopilot flies the approach?

I am wondering if this is related to the FSX glideslope capture bug.

Steve I tried changinging the view and you can see the runway but the angle of view is like looking almost streight down and when the plane touches down all you can see is tarmac.
worth a try thanks Phil.

Hi CC there doe's seem a diference when flying manualy but to day I tried again and had the sound working
and when doing a ILS approach I got do not sink pull up so is this somthing to do with G/A?
If it is then I still don't know how or why.
