Hi :)

I was wondering, except the subjective factor of course, what would be the + and - of each home cockpit?

Thanks in advance.

+ for Airbus: no complex column/yoke construction needed as for 737NG, that means also no special seats with slot between the legs needed

+ for Boeing: Many many more parts, sites and experts around.
- for Boeing: Ooh, so common! Everyone has one...

+ for Airbus: As Uwe says, also it's (I believe) a somewhat easier build.
- for Airbus: Opposite of Boeing - parts etc harder to find. And the software model is pretty much limited to Wilco at the moment.

I anticipate this thread getting controversial!!!

I suspect that when all the pros and cons are weighed it will come down to:
- passion for a particular aircraft
- building skills
- budget

A 737 blows my skirt up.
Some of my best friends drive an A320, but I prefer a big control column between my legs.

Thanks guys

A320 seems simpler and cheaper  eventhough the 737 is the classic way to go...

Does + and - make sence in such a hobby ?

In the last 6 months i have noticed a lot of new products introduced for the airbus, i love all aircraft as we all do but i dont think i could build something without the big yoke in front of me. I keep looking on the airbus mip for somewhere to insert my card and take out some cash :p

Nick
i will say that i have been through the same qestion over 1000 times in the past
IT IS TRUE every one gose foe the 737 there are more supplyers and more softwere for the 737
asfor the airbus there are littel options in the long run it comes out to about the same money

737 for 2 yoke columes you need about 2000euros(plug and play)
a320 for 2 joy sticks you need300 euros (routght stichs and a simpl usd joystick)

airbus cheper

737 cp plugh and play 1100eureos mcp and 2 efeis
a320 cp fcu and 2 efeis 1800euro

737 cheper

open cockpit 737 fcu 340 euro
open cockpit a320 mcdu 340euro

same price

radios

a320 all radios in one module 230 euros
737 1 com 1 nav 1 300 euro

air bus cheper

until now there is a draw
the rest for exampel PM has the same price for the 737 and 320
so you need the same pc net work

until know it is a draw!!!!!!!!

as for the resr if you look in to all MIP panels and so on it comes to the same price

so if you make a new 737 or a a 320 it will cost about the same price!!!!!

only that the there are more 737 supplyers and more second hand things
as fdor the 320 there are less

as for pcs and monitors they need the same things 3 monitors and 4 to 5 pc

so witch ever you likle most go for;)

but the real qewstion is the a320 is more advance then the 737 as systemes and fmc so do you like technolagi or not???

That would be great. Then we would have a more fair and balanced viewpoint.
