I've got the OC EFIS Panel which is a USB connection, however i beleive you need some sort of SIOC Code to power this. I know absolutely nothing about SIOC as this is the first piece of electronical kit i've bought.

If anyone could help me out with the SIOC for the efis, what i need to do, how i do it etc then that would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sure there is at least a few other people here wondering the same as me. Any hints and tips would be great :)

All the best,

Hi Geremy,
For which AC you need the script ?

You also need to download form OC website SIOC3.5 and up (there is 3.7b which works very well).
If it's for PMDG then have a look at this thread.
http://www.mycockpit.org/forums/showthread.php?13084-Efis-and-mcp-together-on-pmdg

Final post + the key mapping for PMDG.

For LDS, you can look at Nico's web site www.lekseecon.nl
Also there is a how to SIOC.

Hope this helps.

Gez, I found mine needed the 5v power supply to get it to function, I think its about 11 euro on the o/c site.

Hi, thanks for your help. Just a little more info. When i add 5v the backlighting works. And i would expect the panel just to run from the USB is that correct for the assignment of switches and rotaries.

I will be using Posky 737, not the PMDG so that's ok - i know PMDG is more complicated with hardware.
So once i have downloaded the software for SIOC is it a case of plug and assign or do i have to write some sort of script?

Thanks again gents.

If you download all the files from the o/c site. You can find them with the efis here http://www.opencockpits.com/catalog/efis-montado-caja-p-136.html There should be the autoconfig sioc, run that then you have to ensure the config sioc ini file has your aircraft in the text (you just alter it with notepad) The pdf manual in the download link explains it but its a bit confusing at first. Im probably making it worse for you so i'll shut up lol

I'll bring this back to life...
I have solider the 5V from USB cable to feed the EFIS with power. It's on a powered HUB so I guessed that would work.
But how can I turn on and off the EFIS backlight?... or is it supposed to be on as long as it gets 5V?
