Just silt and mud which has dried from the water of the Hudson River most likely!

Yep would be fantastic! Historic peice. If someone who was on the aircraft through the emergency bought it as a 'trophy' that would be amazing. After all that plane and its captain saved many lives.

Matt ask it as present for his upcoming birthday, so maybe with a delay Santa will bring it to him ;););)

Anyway, my personal opinion, is that this lucky piece of aircraft should be in any Aviation Museum, not as scrap:(

I'm with you in that one Eddie.

For something that remained so intact on impact it almost seems like sacrilege to split it up.
