I just found this:
http://www.pulsarprofx.com/decalpro/Vertical/1_MENU/1d_Components/Components.html

which is also for sale here:
http://www.coolcomponents.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=378

but more interesting was this:

http://www.mimaki.co.jp/english/ip/topics/2010/20100112.html

Has anyone tried the dry transfer pack, and is it any good? The videos on the first link make it look quite interesting.

The Mimaki printer can seem to print panels which transmit light, so this could solve home-made panel backlighting issues. My guess is that a big fat wallet at the bottom of exceptionally deep pockets shall be necessary.

I have been experimenting with a different type that prints with an ink jet printer and then you add the adhesive after it is printed......then just rub it onto the panel..not sure how it is just yet
