I ought to better introduce myself. My name is Bill, and I am a real life pilot for Flight Express, flying cargo in single pilot ifr environment. Now if there is one thing I enjoy more than flying, it is playing in my machine shop. It is nothing special, two lathes, and a X3 milling machine, all manual, however the X3 mill has a DRO which is the single best thing I EVER did tool wise.

Well I designed the yoke on the computer in 3d before ever cutting any parts. I set out to make the worlds most robust flight sim yoke, to be silky smooth, and to never break. The yoke is built strong enough I could mount a car tire to it and spin it all day. Anyhow, time for pictures...

Also a small youtube video of the parts in the yoke minus the two nylon thrust washers...

That looks really good Bill. I assume the actual yoke is real? And you milled those parts yourself, blimey.... that's not your average CH or Saitek product!

Thanks for sharing.
