I just read that Boeing is going to put it's first 787 in the air at 10 a.m. this Tuesday. Best of luck to them and I hope it goes well.

You can watch it live at www.boeing.com . Boeing say's the site will go live 24 hours prior to flight.

From the looks of it, I would say he actually went IFR before the clearance.
I think the video is delayed as well. The BOEING site doesn't give anything, on CNN only a picture after take off.:(

For those that missed it due to whatever reason i'm sure youtube will have a reply of the best bits of the flight now if not soon.
Took me ages to get connected but got to see 20 mins of it :)

I wondered when the aircraft was actually going to lift the landing gear up....
It was down for ages, I thought it was stuck at first.....

Thats quite normal.
Often its not raised at all during first flight
