Airbus will be present at FIDAE 2004, the “Feria Internacional del Aire y del Espacio” held at Los Cerillos airfield near Santiago de Chile from March 29 th – April 4 th.

The European manufacturer will showcase the A318 that will also take part in the daily flying displays. The A318 is the smallest and latest addition to the successful A320 family. Airbus will highlight the rest of its aircraft family on the EADS stand (Hall B – 51-82) and host visitors at its hospitality chalet (Row C 7 – 9)

Airbus’ presence in Latin America goes back to the second half of the ‘70ies when Airbus placed some of its very first products, the A300 in Brazil and Colombia. Since then Airbus has steadily expanded its presence in the region and today some 180 Airbus aircraft are operated in the region by 13 airlines including carriers such as Aerolineas Argentinas, Air Jamaica, Grupo TACA, LanChile, Mexicana, TAM.

Airbus will hold a press briefing on Monday March 29 th in meeting room 3 at 1.15 pm.
