Hello!
I been working hard lately on our simulator. Here is a recently taken photo showing the MIP and glareshield panel.
I have started to work on the roof and hopefully the simulator will be complete in a couple of months.
The second photo shows the overhead panel which is a monitor for the electronic flightbag from FSWidgets, EFB2004.
All systems are functional but, the computers are removed temporarily, due to the work on the roof.

Yes thats correct, the the learjet 45 doesn't have an overhead panel. After some flying and tweaking together with a retired learjet 35 Captain, he found the aerodynamics of the CRJs and Embraers from POSKY much more realistic than the default learjet 45. Our flightdeck has developed into a more custom pit resembling several bizjet cockpits and also small airliners like Canadair Regional Jet 200, 700, 900 and Embraer 135,145,170,190. So we started with a Lear and ended up with a small fleet. :)

Photo 3 showing the whole pedestal panel.

Yes it's very nice to fly it. The computers are removed temporarily due to work on the roof. Hopefully the simulator will be finished in a couple of months. I tested the simulator before I removed the computers and all systems are running.
It's very rewarding after so much work and as you know it's a huge difference to sit in a cockpit with all the gauges and systems in front of you compared to "desktop flying" with a computer keyboard, mouse, and a joystick and one screen. The desktop setup is just not good enough anymore!;)

I'm very glad after three years of hard work. My interest in aviation doesn't seem to end, and our cockpit will be something to enjoy for many many years.
Also I got to know you guys  through this site and Hangar 45.
It's very nice to be part of such a friendly community!

Best regards

Some more pics. I've started to work on the overhead panel and roof.
As you can see I made a "digital clean up" of my garage with some blue sky paint :)

More photos from different angles. I still have to work on the roof and and the back wall, entry to the pit.
Like earlier photos I made some "digital clean up" to remove all stuff from my garage in the original pictures.

More work on the roof the past few days. Hopefully the roof is finished in a week (one spotlight left to mount and some work at the rear part). Then we can "bring the computers back to life" and if everything goes as planned we are cleared for take off in a couple of weeks. I can hardly wait:mrgreen:

Learsim - Cleared for Take Off :)

Obviously we have to do more work on the outside view. The actual setting is just temporary. We need a new home for the simulator with more space to accomodate a wide rounded screen and room for three projectors.

And to all of you...many thanks for your kind words. This would not have been possible without the help and inspiration from all the fellow builders here at mycockpit and my friends at the Hangar 45 site.
The community really ads an extra dimension to cockpit building. I met so many talented, helpful, enthusiastic and kind persons here.

Hello
I made a short and very simple video which can be found here:

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/PTqp5qhq59o&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/PTqp5qhq59o&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

I guess it gives a better over all view of the simulator compared to photos.

Very nice Per. The video really gives great perspective. I love the way you did your glareshield and the overhead. Looks like a professionaly built interior!

Now enjoy flying it. You deserve it after all the hard work.

Happy New Year to everyone!!

I uploaded a new video on You Tube today showing the first parts of a flight from Stockholm to Oslo. Unfortunately my camera ran out of memory so the last parts of the flight are not included.....;)
