Hello! once more fellow simmers.
Can any one in sim land tell me if there is freeware, where I can get Sid, Star and approach charts, if there is nothing free then I am willing to purchase one.
My main interest is on getting information so I can load the CDU on a PDMG 737 series aircraft. on different flights
I have been searching the internet but so far I have not found one that has a good or complete information.
Thank You
waiting to hear from you :o:o:o

Hey,
I once heard off jeppview it's a programme. You just fill in the airport and all the charts (official jeppesen) come up. I can't afford it. Just look arround the internet. I use (for the netherlands) www.ais-netherlands.nl, it has same charts of airports in the netherlands on it ideal for fs. I once saw a list with all that kind of sites just google some more.
good luck,
Stijn

I have JeppView, it's great but as people point out it's not a realistic sim purchase due to the costs involved, think around £1000 per year for a European coverage. Then again that price includes certain things that a simmer wouldn't need- regular paper enroute chart updates and fully working EFB functionality being just two. Of course those are redundant when simming so it's not worth consideration unless you fly IFR in the real world alongside simming.
Then again Jeppesen produced simcharts as an alternative, and the great thing about that was that when loaded alongside FSX all of the charts within it were geo-referenced much like in a real cockpit with some of the modern avionics suites on the market- your Garmins, Avidynes,ProLine 21s etc, so you could see your exact position on an approach or procedure and so forth. Unfortunately it's being phased out due to a lack of demand which is a shame, but there we are!

Hi
I want to tip about the program Vroute. You find it at www.vroute.net in both free and pay versions. The pay version has some extra features, but the free version will do the trick regarding charts and much more. Its really a flightplanning tool that gives you weatherforecasts, sugested routs, recomended addons, charts, fuelcalculations, all regarding the departing and arrival airports you put in to the planner.
You can also export your route to a wide range of addons i.e. pmdg, levelD,FSCommander, squawkbox and many more.
Well. Its a great resource for maps, but so much more.

A few years ago I bought a subscription to Jeppesen SIMCharts 4.0 Service. It is a little webapplication with all airport data, Sids and Stars and regalulations for all airports with worldwide coverage. The maps are printable and look exactly like the real ones. Because it is a little webapp. it is always up to date.
The nice part is that it is cheap, only 34,95 euros and the second year I became my subscription free of charge.
Oh yes, it is not allowed for real world flying.
Kind regards, Wendy

Percy is correct on that one unfortunately. However, if anyone is running FS2004 we published version 3.0 on CD so you may be able to pick up a copy on auction websites etc. ;)
