Re-entering the 'flight sim' world after few years out: Aerosoft's MCP add-on for PS1.3 was working okay, but stopped. It shows default of 600 instead of 10,000 on altitude (?). Where do I find a re-intall disk. Or, do I need to reinstall firmware? Thanks Doug

Do you have any drivers on your system? If not i can send you some by email. You need the program installed on your PC even if your not using it directly with FS and through PS1.

Let me know

If needed, I have firmware v2.6 here. I don't own an Aerosoft mcp but I did some test for somebody. I always keep interesting files. One never knows...

It is just one exe-file. When you open it you can acces the mcp.

you can leave your email address in a private message and I will send the file.

Dirk

Hi Dirk,

I too am currently reinstalling the MCP 747. (win 7 x64) Latest firmware I´ve got is 2.2a.
Would be very much interested in version 2.6 though.

Could you email me the 2.6 by pm too please.:-)

Thanks a very lot in advance.

You can leave your email address in a PM. Then I will send it.
I could upload it here in the library for everybody but it 's too complicated.

Hello there,

I-m new to this site and read this thread with interest. I am not exactly into building cokpits as my building talents are somewhat limited when I see what others are capable of putting together...Nevertheless, I did acquire an Aerosoft MCP some time ago and would like to use it with FSX within the WIN7 ultimate (x64) OS. I do have the setup file 2.2 and firmware 2.6 file but I have tried to re-install it but my sstem cannot fing the appropriate drivers.

Does anyone know if there would be a workaround solution to this as I really enjoyed using this hardware until now and it continues to function well.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Hello,

I'm not sure but I think Windows 64 bit version is the problem as Aerosoft Australia stopped the MCP production years agoo.

Hello Dirk,

Thanks for the input. Indeed I think this is the problem and as Aerosoft Australia have discontinued the MCP I-m a little short of ideas on how to get this MCP to work within the x64 system.
As anyone else been confonted to this problem?
It may seem like a dumb question but would anybody know how or who could get the drivers to become compatible.
Thanks again and best regards from Switzerland...

Hi Rhys,

just found an interesting thread in My Cockpit forum under "Computer Hardware setup".

Israel Abril Fernandez obviously used to drive the MCP under XP 64 Bit.

He´s offered in one of his posts to send the driver.

Please check there too.

Hi Doug,

which file you are referring to? Is it a 64 Bit driver for the MCP, which we are desperately looking for?

Thanks

Peter and Rhy....... Not sure if it's 64. It resides on my Windows 95 which is not internet connected. Does that mean it's 64? Transfered the MCP file to a floppy and trying to email it from my XP. MCP file won't pickup as attachment from the disk.

Sorry this is taking so long. I have to get back to this problem later today.

Hi Doug,

if it resides on Win95 (this is 4 OS generations back from Win7!!) it is definitely not 64 Bit. The First 64 bit came with XP.

Hi Doug,

Thanks very much for the help and the time that you have invested.
I rather expect that Peter is correct in his assessment and your drivers would not function under Win7...

Best regards from snowy Switzerland

Hi Rhys,

the drivers from Israel Abril Fernandez seem to be the right 64 bit drivers for the MCP. I´ve received them and another fellow flightsimmer tested them shortly. At the first glance it looks ok.
Have you received and tried them yet?

Best regards

Peter

Hello Peter,

Thanks very much for your reply. This sounds very promising.
However, I have not received them. Would you per chance be able to forward them to me?
Sorry for the delay in writing but I-ve been on the road until today.
Many thanks for the update and best regards from LSZH.

Thank you Rolf,

The drivers work fine and the problem is now solved!
Needless to say how happy I am as the MCP still has a lot of "life" left in it and I don-t necessarily want to invest right now in some new hardware...
Thanks again,

Rhys
