Does anyone know a way to set a parking brake? But have it stay on until you switch it off manually? I hate it when every time I touch my rudder pedals, the p. brake goes off. just curious :-?

hello captain.....
have you thought about assigning your axes thru FSUIPC and if you have a joystick card,
assigning a switch to the parking brake (offset 0BC8).
i assign my rudder/toe brakes this way and my TQ parking brake switch is sent to FSUIPC which sees it as a button press. use the 'Offset Byte Set' function to write the parameter as 1 when the button is pressed and 0 when it is released.
as long as the switch is closed, the parking brake will stay on until you open the switch (release the button).
hope that helped you out......
regards from wales .... ian

Hello,

Just want to say that in some planes, that's the way it goes. When you push rudder pedals the brakes unlock.
