ROFL It's like the evolution of man. Only instead of it getting better its degrading. It looks like something you'd sit in at the fairground. I'm ceased to be amazed.

From a medical standpoint, there is less pressure on the vertebral disks when standing, as opposed to sitting. So sitting would be more likely to produce disk problems. On the other hand, the pressure is higher while standing, as opposed to lying - thatīs why Ryanair is "low cost" carrier and thatīs why Iīd prefer a sluggish 1st class "bed". LOL

If this seat design comes to reality, then where would your HOLD BAGGAGE be stored, surely there would be no room?

You guys are so difficult!!!. Can't you see that RyanAir is nice enough to provide trays for your drinks so that you can drink your way to oblivion and forget you are standing up? The only thing missing really is a foot rest so that you can imagine you are standing up in your favorite bar. What's wrong with that? :D

I'm afraid so Matt,

There is only one explanation for this.................Michael O Leary!

The name says it all!

Good job Herb Kelleher isn't thinking about this or there will be a lot of complaining Americans! But then again Michael O'Leary has based Ryanair on SouthWest so it wouldn't be a surprise if Herb hasn't considered it already at one stage!

There goes the carry on luggage... OOPS!!!! Oh, I can see a two hour trip staring at the ceiling. If you're in a window stand up seat and need to use the B.R. Everybody out, I've got to go!!!!!

Well, may be not...... ?

These seats are actually 'free seats' you wont have to pay for them and Ryanair wont allow you to use them for flights longer than 1h30mins!

Totally not designed for long-haul, but they never were designed for long-haul.

I'm sorry Choffman, but I only fly in a plane with a lady laying on the wing if I CAN'T see her ribcage!
