Hi,
Does anyone has adresses in Europe, where I could find real cessna fuselages c172(1970-2002).
I can`t find any.
I live in the Netherlands but I`m willing to travel for interesting things.
regards Henk

Hi, thank you for your reply,
I`m searching already on airports and internet but could only find stuff in the USA.
For small things thats ok ,but if I want to ship a Cessna from the USA to Holland Ì will be spending over 3000 euro for taxes and shipping.

Its just a matter of stumbling in to things(cessna)
and have people on the look out.

Its the fuselage that simkits used as the model for their fuselage replica they are selling.

In the uk you can find several scrappers that will be able to help you.

Also have you tried flash aviation in eindhoven ? They sometimes show up with the weirdest parts...who know a fuselage....

You might have some luck with yards such as this one: http://www.sky-craft.co.uk. Unfortunately these sorts of places are getting wise to the needs of simmers with prices suffering.

Hi Stef,
I have contacted Curt, there asking 2000 euro for an empty shell:roll:
I know of people(Norway) that they have bought complete cessna`s without motor and wings for just over 1000 euro
So thats what I`m looking for.

is he asking 2000 euros for their replica's or for the real one with controls he is offering on marktplaats now ?

find their source !

Also keep an eye on ebay.co.uk if you are not in a hurry. I have seen them go on the british uk for just a few hundred pounds

Hi Stef, for the one on marktplaats,
Curt told me that Simkits will market the replica`s within 3 weeks after they have an overview about the manufactering costs.
He couldn`t give me any further details, regarding the replica`s

Try your local GA airfields as mentioned, I have seen all sorts in the last few years, was actually offered a Cessna wing once for £50....what would I do with that? By this, I mean it does show that local airfields may have the odd write-off from time to time, so it's always worth checking!

Son San Joan Airport in Palma De Mallorca has rotting jets doing nothing, as I saw why taxi'ing down the runway going home to UK from my holiday last year.

Just visit airfields, be nosy and you may just see what you are looking for and get a bargain!

Good luck!

I have just called Simkits about the fuselage that will come out at the end of this month.
There asking only 16000 euro ex VAT for a complete setup,
But in the near future there will be modules ,so you can buy it in stages
