I want one!

Just found out that the 2 jet engines alone costs over $6000, thats just the engines.....now price up the rest!

And there's me thinking that cockpit building was expensive......

Anything that flies is expensive....(apart from my rather cool 737 paper plane!)

its a bit "cheaper" if you go for ducted fans.

2500 US$ for a quite complete 737 kit.

Thank you very much for this link, its very hard to find anything like this on the net, and especially RC airliners.

This is the ultimate boys toy (apart from a sim).

Can I ask.....how much flight can you get from the motor as I know many battery powered motors only have a 20-30 min lifespan.

Cheers...Alex....

any more links to stuff like this....fire away......cheers

I can see myRCockpit.org developing here.....

Wouldn't be a bad idea, how about an RC section to the site for the fun of it!

Will have to nudge Trev or Matt on this one!

It's been there..... just a little slow starting. I thought we would see some action here since a lot of us builders are R/C pilots :) :) :)

Cheers Matt, I'm sure this R/C section will be filled up in no time by our newly inspired R/C members.

It does appear that members are now finding more ways to fly airliners, either by building a cockpit, building an R/C model, flying on your PC, but flying the real thing is often miles away sadly!

Fancy building your very own radio controlled Airbus A320?

Here's a website with plans to download and print AND goes through the building process with you!

http://www.aerosquare.com/content/category/5/21/51/lang,en/

tempting I know.....

I have downloaded the plans to my pc for safeguarding just in case I have the urge to build an Airbus....

I'm really tempted.....but I wouldn't have a clue where to start
