Last month when I was flying my (old) a320 sim I concluded that this wasn't real enough. It was a ''single seater'' and the joystick was way too sensitive etc. etc. So I decided to quit and start all over again. B747-400 Project number 2. Because I'm 15 years old and still at school I don't have to spend much but this result!!! even I looked amazed. I spend for the whole set up only 120 euro's. So it is possible to build a 747 cockpit even when you have a very low budget. Please take a look and leave a comment!!
I have to collect a bit more money but i think all the displays are working by the beginning of juli.

Really proud of it myself too. I think building treehouses when i was 10 helped me to have these skills.

Stein, great result!

Actually the skills you learn by building treehouses (and cockpits) cannnot be learned at school, but they come in very handy during the rest of your life!

Amazing. And incredibly fantastic. Like I have said in the past. Mdf/Plywood and paint, go a long way to adding the realism. Great stuff!

... I'm 15 years old and still at school...

I used to be 15 (I think), and I am most definitely not in school, but this is just amazing. I put on my nicest hat and take it off in respect for you and your work!

My wife keeps reminding me I was never a kid...... Then I tell her I'm trying to make up for it now.

Go for it Stijn, you may not be able to later. :)

Nice Job Stijn. It really looks like a craftsman's job and I find it hard to believe that a 15 year old can do such a good job. It puts my work to shame.

I'm giving you a standing Ovation....Clap....Clap.....Clap

Chris

That truly is a fantastic achievement. Your craftsmanship skills appear to be first hand for your age and like everyone else has said, this work is a credit to you. Keep up the great work and you are an inspiration to the younger generation and people who post questions on the value for money of a sim. There's your proof. It can be done. Time and effort generally does result in something good as has been proven here.

Keep us updated on your future work, i'm interested to see how it goes and i must grant you the very best of luck for the rest of your project!

You off to a very good start. All that it will need to look like the real thing is the rest of the desplays, the switches and the standby instruments.
