Potentiometers

Can these be used in a home cockpit? I am trying to find good deals in the US for potentiometers and at this price, it's a bargain!

It depends on the application. Parts-Express doesn't provide much in the way of specs, so judging only by the picture, I'd say that's a standard use pot with a carbon composite resistive element. I would expect the rated lifetime to be 35~50,000 full rotations. This is adequate for infrequently made adjustments like panel dimmer controls. It's not a good choice for use in a flight control.

If you're looking for a good pot for controls that are frequently moved (joystick, yoke, pedals) look for something with lifetime rating in excess of 1,000,000 full rotations. Such a pot will likely have a conductive plastic element. For example, the Bourns 6639S series http://www.bourns.com/pdfs/6539.pdf Unfortunately these rarely show up in the discount bins.

These Could be used, See attachment , Havnt used these myself yet but i plan to.. No wear & super sensitive apprently.. Cheers.. Riche.;)
