The FreeFD site is no more, I think he closed it and started a comercial version.
You can however get FreeFD from here http://www.mycockpit.org/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=144

There are some parts of the old FreeFD site archived at web.archive.org here

If you want FMC, EFIS, ND, EICAS displays for free then you cant beat P8R's ALPHA FMC package here http://members.quicknet.nl/scumari/fmc/

Hi Jake,

If you are flying the PMDG 747 you actually don't need add'l glass software.

You can click on the PFD/ND and EICAS which will make the software 'take it out of the MIP' and display it on your monitor in a different position.

If you move your mouse to the top of the pop-up you can right-click on it
and the undock the window. This will allow you to move it anywhere you want.

I am planning on buying a 2nd THTG box (using already one for the outside views) and use 3 monitors in my MIP to display the instruments.

The attached file will show you how it works.

cheers,

Martin
