On this moment I am designing my own interface to connect my cockpit with FSX. I am not building a cockpit yet, love to build first all panels working and when everything is done... all pieces will come together in my cockpit... Problem is also that I don't yet know or I will build final a turboprop or a small jet. Think time will tell during building my interface and my panels... My interface is USB controlled and I will write my own application in VB2008.
My question is or FSUIPC is the only way to get information out of the flightsim and connect it with the hardware? Is it possible to write your own DLL to get this information out of FSX? Or does exist other 'freeware' solutions?
thx

Hi Built into FSX is an interface called SIMCONNECT Feel free to visit the microsoft website and download the SDK.
Other then that, FSUIPC/SimConnect are your only options to send and collect data from flight sim.

TrevHi,
Thanks for your quick reply.
Can I also get data out from PMDG series with SimConnect? LevelD767? Or Project Magenta?
It should be nice but I have no direct plans to use it. Thinking to write my own system... will know in a few months exact what I gonna do.... but for testing my system, and to make it more universal....
