Wondering if someone here might have some ideas for me. I bought a CDU secondhand from reputable source and when i power it up it test OK and I can also access the setup as well. I have installed the PMDG software interface and have a license key. I have installed the CDU driver sent to me by Stef, who has been very helpful. When I plug in the USB, windows tells me that there is an unrecognised USB device and that there are no drivers installed. I have tried manually locating the drivers for it but again windows tells me that it cannot locate any drivers. I have unistalled and re-installed just about everything. I'm asking here before I go to the expense of packing it up and shipping back to the Netherlands. As I said earlier Stef and Robert have been very helpful but we still can't get it to locate the drivers so I thougth someone here might be able to help. Any ideas will be most helpful.

Thanks,

Mick

The drivers will need to be installed first.
They come on a CD with the CDU.

If you dont have the CD then I believe if you email info@flyengravity.com explaining your situation they might email you the drivers.

whats your email address mate, I'll email you the device drivers, they are under 1mb in size so should have no problem sending them, they should be open source anyway as they are afterall only device drivers and not drivers to make the cdu compatible with software, that bit's done by either project magenta or PMDG drivers.

Further to my last message the engravity user guide states the following -

If for some reason one of these parts are missing, please send an email to sales@737cockpit.com. Please mention the serial number, date of purchase and name of reseller.

hope this helps

Dave

Mick has allready been in touch with us.

We have talked him through the various steps, but to no avail, hense our advise to have the unit returned for a checkup. A return form has allready been sent to him.

But because mick bought the cdu secondhand without the protective case, i'm afraid something went wrong during the transit from europe to australia. Thats why i advised him to return the unit.

Being send with the case removed the warranty has been void. Thats why Mick came here for a last advise before making the expense of shipping the unit to us.

One way or another we will get this cdu back to work.
