Guys,

A few weeks ago Stef (dnoize) and me went to meet a fellow sim builder.
We had quite some fun with his cockpit. Also made a few movies.
Ive posted my best landing on youtube... The quality isnt best due to youtube compressing it further.

Enjoy.

Looks a awful lot like IVAR's Sim. I would recognize that yellow back lighting anywhere LOL..

Although I could be wrong :) *wink*

It wasnt Ivar's sim... Its a dutch build sim in Amsterdam.

This particular person actualy rebuilded a real RMI to work with the sim...

The throttle is home made, i couldnt tell the difference between the real one and this one. The autothrottle works and behaves like the real thing. It uses dcmotors acting like servos or something like that. A real master piece.

Who is the owner? Is he a member here?

I dont think peter is a member here. At least I've never seen him post here.

Some more details of the sim:

Mip panel all home made, including backlit panels. Peter has his own CNC.

ADI, RMI, VSI, altimeter, speed are all real instruments, converted to servo use with simkits servo controller. (these instruments are making me think of picking up my original idea of building a 707 sim

Throttle is completely home build. Speedbrake and levers powered by DC motors with clutch, belts to lever. Dedicated circuit with position feedback pots, make them work like servo, so they are controlled by TRC servo card. This is the best replica throttle I have EVER seen. Peter is helping mike and me converting out real throttles the same way.

Cdu's have real bezels, but buttons, switches, etc are not.

All real units in the pedestal, radios converted to digitals with fsbus.

Flyengravity overhead with many real gauges.

Yaw damper, flaps and brake pressure gauge are home made and functional.

Real columns and yokes.

Peter is a hardcore builder that does almost everything himself, his sim is absolutely amazing.

Sorry for the typo's, typing this on iPhone
