I had a 7900GS (PCI-E) and FX5200 (PCI) running on my computer.
I added a 8800GTX and took out the FX5200. When I rebooted, the 8800GTX defaulted to XP VGA drivers, but got an error with the 7900GS that driver couldn't be found.
I downloaded Nick N recommended nVidia driver (180.4), use Driver Cleaner Pro and CCleaner to ensure last last nVidia driver was completely removed and installed 180.48. Works fine for the 8800GTX, still can't load a driver for the 7900GS. Then I discover the 180.48 is for series 8 adapters and up.
So, the question is how do I load a driver for the 7900GS? Is it possible to install 2 different nVidia drivers? Or do I have to go back to my older driver that was compatible with the 7900GS?
Wasn't this difficult the first time when I added the FX5200 to the 7900GS. What am I missing here?
Thanks,
Henry
