Hello folks. I have my hands full with covering the roof now. No doubt the hardest part in this simulator regarding woodwork. So many angles that must be correct. So I have almost a marathon distance between the simulator and the angle-cutter;).

But patience and do-as-best-as-I-can-and-a-little-more sure helps when preparing for plywood covering. I have decided to cover with plywood, to help the strenght of the roof structure. Probably not necessary, but I want to be sure the roof can be handled tough if I need to transport it.

A few more days and I can apply the plywood covering:). Looking very much forward to that.

I have also made the frame for the AFT overhead and installed. It is hinged for easy maintenance.

Some pictures.

It looks great Ivar, but, I thought you finished your shell months ago.

Is this a second shell?

Thanks Trevor. Glad my pictures can help you in some kind of way.

Michael. Cockpit shell has been finished for long time, except for the interior part on the roof. Last step to do regarding woodwork on this simulator:)

A second shell:shock::shock::shock:

I am crazy, but not completely out of my mind:mrgreen:

But I have seen the bus, which has drivers wearing white clothes, in my neighbourhood lately. Not sure what they are doing around here;)

Ahhh, OK. I never knew it wasn't finished on the inside. Where are you getting the eyebrow trim from?

ahhh. Dont even mention it.

That will be a challenge for sure. Have to hand-make the eyebrow trim myself. Because I doubt the real ones will fit;)

I think I am going to use sandwich material for fibreglass boats, and polyester. Try to shape the sandwich-stuff as good as I can and maybe add some fibreglass if necessary.

This will be a tricky one for sure. But a good challenge:).

Yes, a challenge for certain. I'll probably try something else myself in the Spring or later.

Thank you very much Joe:)

Hope to show some pictures with covering in place in a few days. But one think is sure. Bare wood does not look good in pictures. Looking very much forward to get the final touch on this. Very excited about how the simulator entrance will appear when I get the roof back in place:D.
