Thanks for the link Mike.
Unfortunately I get a message saying video only available in US.
Looks like I'll have to take you word that it's a good video:p
maybe it will become available for the rest of us later.

cheers

Paul, I get the same thing a lot and even more so now that I'm in Istanbul (YouTube is blocked here). You can use vtunnel.com, ztunnel.com or any similar service to watch such videos.

Hope this helps.

I watched that video awhile back. I believe it was listed as an IMAX video. It impressed me because I thought it would make the ideal Fighter Ops expansion or a custom FO online server. Do all the art of Vegas and Nellis then run Red Flag on the server against 128 other regulars. Would make for a fun semi-persistant server type.

I was looking throught the gallery on the FO site and i did notice that some of the Strip in vegas has been created. The first thing I thought of was COOL Nellis should be a real treat to fly into. I too would like to see a Red Flag scenerio implented in FO.

I really enjoyed that. Thanks for posting it. Brought back a lot of memories when I wanted to do that for a living when I was a lot younger.

Our equivilent excercise in my line of work in the Air Force was the Missile Combat Competition held at VandyLand out in California.

Nice to see how the other half lives! ;)

VandyLand ?

If you mean Vandeberg I was just there a few nomths ago welding in some heatshields for a Rocket motor firing. The test facility was maybe three football fields from the beach it was awsome.

I was last at Vandenburg in '84 for the MCC. I went back, not to Vberg but up north a bit to a school at Logicon for our data analysis system in '85. Very primitive by todays computer standards.

The MCC was not nearly as exciting as what Red Flag looked like in the video, but it was an extreme amount of hard work. It was all worth it though when you saw your bird launch out of the hole and saw that smoke ring rising from the LF.
