It dawned on my the other day about a different type of fan for my vent(s) in the cockpit.

I got a hold of an unused hair drier, one of those 1600W jobs. I took it apart and cut the heating element out of the circuit. Actually, all I used was the motor, fan, and the mount. Man, does that thing move some air!

It moves so much air, I ran another hose to the O2 mask supply. Now I'll have a working mask when I eventually get it.

Talk about a healthy breeze blowing. It's more like a gale. I wired it up to an unused switch on the lighting panels in the overhead. It's a little loud, but with the sim running you don't hear it so much. Adds a little ambience to the cockpit too.

Fan and mount strapped to the underside of the main support:

First of all, BSW you are the man...

Secondly, make sure you don't catch pneumonia because of the draft...

Amazing!

It sounds like asweet setup but, it looks like u used the plastic ductwork, be carefull it might get hot and overhead (thats the fireman coming out of me) I am using aluminum tube, same type but better heat rating and i'm using a little fan forced hot/fan unit,I am relocating the switching system from the fan to incorporate it into my a/c cockpit heat area of the panel. PS how do i send photo's like yall do...?

Looks real nice yeah! Perhaps worth moving to aluminum ducts though, for safety concerns...
Otherwise, great idea!

You guys missed the part where I cut out the heating elements.

No heat, just air.

If I had the heating elements in place I think I'd have a major meltdown of dryer vent hose.

On to the next project:
