727 Windscreen Center Support

Worked on the center support post today.

Pretty easy project if a bit time consuming. Just two 3/4x1/8" aluminum angles with holes drilled in the right spots. The two sides are wedged apart to create the proper angle for each window.

The wires were left off of the right side so I could run some actual live wiring up to the top when I get the correct compass.

Anyone know what the plastic tubing is for running up the center? I've seen it before, but don't know what it's for.

I believe its the condensation drain tube

Thanks, I sort of figured that, but I'm trying to think of how that moisture would be gathered. I've never seen the underside of a real 727 overhead.

I still need to add the two red balls and the white ball on that little platform in the center. That is where your seat adjustment should put your eyepoint.

Michael all I have to say is I know my seat is adjusted properly when my balls are lined up straight, and if their red then I guess my seats been there to long and need to get up and walk around abit lol :)

Oh and secondly Michael isnt it against some sort of 727 policy to have a TV screen up on your glareshield when your flying :) Oh wait a sec my bad it's a sim, it looked so damn real I thought it was a actual 727 and you were just trying to sneak in an episode of the simpsons between hauls lol :)

Yes and I have a condensation tube as well I just dont call it that lol oops *looks at Trev and Matt* changing subject before the censors arrive lol
